SELLING A USED CAR?
SECOND OPINION will inspect and qualify your car and provide you with a detailed report to share with prospective buyers. This eliminates the need for them to take your vehicle across town to have it inspected elsewhere, thus reducing the risk of an accident or damage.
Cars that meet our standards of quality can be promoted by us as such. We will display a picture ad on our web site with a description of the vehicle until it sells, absolutely free.
WHAT ARE OUR STANDARDS OF QUALITY?
Tires must have a minimum of 3/32" or 4mm of even tread wear.
Brakes must have no leaks in the system. Pads or shoes must have at least 25% remaining materials. The brake pedal should have a good feel, and the ABS systems must function as designed, based on and including the warning lights indications.
Steering and Suspension systems must be in good condition based on age and mileage of the vehicle with minimum wear and struts or shocks must not show evidence of leakage (some seepage may be normal).
Exhaust systems must not have leakage or excessive rust.
Warning systems: i.e., Check Engine, ABS, SRS, Brake, etc. must all function properly during the start up test mode and not come on or remain on during the road test.
All Exterior Lighting must operate and function as designed.
Glass must be in good condition meaning no large stone chips or cracks (some minor stone chips may be acceptable based on age or mileage).
The vehicle inspection report must indicate no 1 or 2 grades based on our grading system.
These standards are subject to change and are at the pure discretion of Second Opinion.
